A light, flavorful salmon dish made with fresh lemon, garlic, and butter. Ready in under 20 minutes, perfect for a healthy and delicious dinner.

Ingredients (4 servings)

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.

2. Sear the salmon
Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Place the salmon skin-side down and cook for 3–4 minutes.
Flip carefully and cook another 2–3 minutes until golden.

3. Make the lemon butter sauce
Reduce the heat to medium.
Add the butter to the pan and let it melt.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Add the lemon juice and lemon zest, and gently stir the sauce.

4. Combine
Spoon the lemon butter sauce over the salmon fillets.
Let everything simmer together for 1–2 minutes so the flavors absorb.

5. Serve
Serve warm with fresh parsley on top.
This dish pairs well with rice, roasted vegetables, salad, or mashed potatoes.

Tips

  • Do not overcook the salmon; it stays juicier if slightly pink inside.
  • Add a splash of cream to the sauce for an even richer flavor.
  • You can bake this dish at 200°C (400°F) for 12–15 minutes as an alternative.
