1 pack of marshmallows
1 box of Nesquik cereal
1 bar of white chocolate
Preparation How to Make Homemade Nesquik Cereal Bars
To begin, gently melt the butter in a non-stick saucepan. This not only helps the cooking process but also makes cleaning much easier afterwards, which is a huge advantage when preparing sticky desserts. Once the butter is fully melted, slowly add in the marshmallows, stirring continuously. They will gradually dissolve into a smooth, sticky, sweet mixture that binds the cereal together.
When the marshmallow mixture is ready, start incorporating the cereal gradually — not all at once. I personally didn’t use the entire box, because adding it slowly helps you achieve the perfect texture: soft enough to bind properly, but still crunchy and structured.
Next, spread the mixture evenly onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. While a tray is optional, parchment paper is absolutely essential, because it prevents sticking and ensures easy cleanup. Using wet hands, gently shape and press the mixture until you achieve a firm, even surface. Let it rest for a short time so it can begin to set.
Meanwhile, melt the white chocolate: place the entire chocolate bar — still unopened in its packaging — into hot water, and allow it to soften and melt fully. When it is completely melted, remove it from the water, open the packaging, cut off one corner, and then squeeze the melted chocolate evenly over the cereal base. After pouring, spread the chocolate topping smoothly using a spatula to create a clean, glossy finish.
Finally, refrigerate for about 30–60 minutes, or until the chocolate topping is fully set. Once firm, slice into bars and enjoy a perfectly balanced combination of buttery sweetness, smooth chocolate, and crunchy cocoa cereal. For storage, place the bars in a sealed plastic container, where they will stay fresh and delicious for several days.
